Lighter DEX Community, Support and Official Links: Discord, Twitter/X, Reddit, YouTube, Telegram, Careers (2026)
Every official Lighter DEX channel in one place: the website, app, docs, X/Twitter, Discord, Telegram API channel, GitHub, plus where the Reddit and YouTube discussion happens, how to get support safely, and Lighter careers.

Lighter DEX keeps its official presence small and deliberate: a website, the app, two documentation sites, an X/Twitter account, a Discord server where support tickets are handled, a Telegram channel for API changes, and a GitHub organization. There is no official Reddit subreddit and no official YouTube channel; discussion there is community-driven. Here you get every real channel in one place so you never hand your seed phrase to a fake, how support actually works and how fast it answers, and the community sources that are worth your time. Verified September 2026.

How Lighter support works
There is no email support desk and no live chat. Support runs through the Discord ticket system:

- Join the official Discord via the link on lighter.xyz.
- Open a ticket in the support channel. Include your Lighter account address, the transaction hash (for deposits or withdrawals), the market and time (for order issues), and screenshots.
- A team member responds in the ticket. Response times are usually hours; longer during incidents.
Rules that protect you:
- Lighter staff never DM first. Anyone who messages you claiming to be support is a scammer.
- Nobody legitimate asks for your seed phrase or private key. Ever.
- Do not "verify your wallet" by signing arbitrary messages sent by strangers.
- Do not send funds to "recovery" addresses.
For deposit and withdrawal problems, run through the Lighter DEX withdrawal troubleshooting checklist before opening a ticket; most cases resolve by waiting for confirmations.
Status and incident updates
Full incident history and how to read a pause: Lighter DEX status
Lighter posts maintenance windows and incidents on X and in the Discord announcements channel. There is no separate status page as of September 2026. If the app is not accepting orders, check those two places first. Deposits queue during pauses and credit afterward; funds are never at risk during a sequencer pause. See is Lighter down?.
Lighter on Reddit
There is no official subreddit. Lighter discussion appears in r/CryptoCurrency, r/defi, r/ethfinance, r/CryptoMarkets and airdrop-focused subreddits, usually around points, the airdrop, fee comparisons with Hyperliquid, and liquidation complaints. Treat Reddit as sentiment, not as documentation; the points formula and fee schedule are frequently misquoted there. Search "lighter.xyz" rather than "lighter" to avoid results about cigarette lighters.
Lighter on YouTube
No official Lighter channel produces tutorials. Useful community coverage falls into three types:
- Airdrop and points walkthroughs (search "Lighter DEX airdrop" or "Lighter points"), which explain the app but often overstate expected token value. Read our Lighter DEX airdrop guide for the confirmed rules.
- Perp DEX comparison videos covering Lighter vs Hyperliquid vs Aster, useful for a visual tour of the interface.
- Developer walkthroughs of the Python SDK, fewer but valuable if you are building a bot.
Ignore any video that links to a "Lighter APK download," a "Lighter presale," or a giveaway. Lighter does not run presales or giveaways.
Lighter news sources
- X @Lighter_xyz for primary announcements (listings, burns, Robinhood, tokenomics).
- The Block, CoinDesk, Fortune for funding and regulatory coverage; The Block's Yogita Khatri and colleagues covered the $68 million round and sector reporting.
- DefiLlama and CoinMarketCap's Lighter pages for data-driven updates.
- Our site, which dates and sources every change; see the Lighter DEX Robinhood guide for the biggest 2026 story and Lighter DEX volume data for numbers.
Recent notable news (September 2026): Bitwise listed a physically backed Lighter Staking ETP on Deutsche Börse Xetra (Sept 23); code commits revealed binary-option and scalar prediction-market circuits in Lighter's prover repository (Sept 21); Robinhood flow reached 17% of daily volume; LIT roughly doubled in 30 days.
Lighter careers and jobs
Lighter (Elliot Technologies, Inc.) hires engineers, quants and a small business team, historically favoring competitive-programming backgrounds (IOI, IMO, ICPC medalists) and ex-Citadel or Lunchclub colleagues. Openings are posted on lighter.xyz and on the founder's X account rather than on job boards. Roles are largely remote with hubs in the US and Europe. The GitHub organization shows the languages in use: Go for the reference signer and core services, Python for SDKs, Rust and circuit DSLs for the prover.
Developer community
The Discord has a developer channel where SDK questions get answered by the team and by market makers. The Telegram API channel is essential if you run a bot: signing changes and market-index changes are announced there first. See the Lighter DEX API guide.
